Example of how to use Loving What is by Katie Byron in your daily life:

Identify one problem that you are experiencing in your life,

1.        Describe that experience as you are experiencing it fully.

2.        Review your description of the experience and ask yourself the following questions:

Is the way that I am describing the event factual? What is true and what is opinion, feeling, what others think or say?

How can I know that the way that I am describing the event actually true.

Notice how you experience the event; for example, is it emotional, is it sensory, do you engage negatively with others or yourself, etc.

What do you think would happen to yourself if you no longer think this way?

If, after you have completed this exercise, you do not experience relief or have difficulty identifying thought from reality; reach out to me; I can help you to process this event: admin@blackstonecounselingnc.com
